Paper Route vs Roomvuin 2026

Roomvu is a real-estate marketing platform that generates ready-made, hyper-local and MLS-driven videos from templates and auto-posts them to your networks every day, with a free account and paid plans from $89.99 a month (checked 10 Sep 2026). Paper Route is a content employee: it brings the ideas and the weekly drop, writes and generates every reel from scratch around your metro’s numbers or your listing facts, puts you in it — headshot, logo, your own cloned voice — and takes changes by text, from $79 a month.

One difference decides it for most agents: Roomvu is a library of templated videos you manage in a dashboard and auto-post; Paper Route is a colleague who writes each reel from scratch, shows you in it, and works by text — no dashboard to manage, and nothing goes out in your name without you.

Workflow and price, line by line

Every Roomvu cell is numbered to the page it came from, all checked on 10 September 2026; every Paper Route cell comes from our own pricing and how-it-works pages. We compare workflow and price only: we have no basis to compare results, and neither does anyone else.

How you work with itAt template level: pick the layout, pick the color set, replace or reorder the listing photos, apply AI virtual staging.4Like a colleague, not a dashboard. It brings the ideas and the weekly drop without being asked, and you handle it the way you handle a person: read what it wrote, say what you want different. There are no screens to manage and no calendar to fill.
Where the reels come fromAt library scale, from templates. Listings: “Every active listing automatically generates a branded video, pulled directly from MLS data”, with Listing Studio importing from “50+ real estate boards” and the agent picking a layout and a color set. Market content is hyper-local video generated for your area.3,4Written and generated from scratch, one reel at a time, never from a template. The script is built around your metro’s actual numbers or the listing facts you entered, the visuals are generated per reel, and every factual claim is mapped to its source — anything that can’t be sourced is cut or softened before you see it. Two agents in the same city get different reels.
Who is in the reel“Agent DNA (Sounds Like you)” is listed on the $89.99 plan and “AI Voice Cloning” on the $199.99 plan. No filming either: “AI Portraits” on the entry plan, “AI Twin & Talking Avatars” from $199.99 up, and a personal intro recorded with a teleprompter if you want to appear yourself.1You are, and there is nothing to film. Your headshot and logo are composited into every reel, narration is your own cloned voice on every plan (optional: record or upload 60 to 120 seconds, or skip it and keep a stock voice), and your headshot is the reference for generated scenes of you — the podcast segment, the wardrobe previews you pick during setup, and cover art.
PriceThree plans: Omni-Presence $89.99/mo, Brand Builder $199.99/mo, Lead Magnet $399.99/mo. A yearly toggle offers “Save up to 25%” and every plan carries a “7 Days Money Back Guarantee”.1Three plans: Starter $79/mo, Plus $99/mo, Pro $149/mo. Cancel any time.
Free tierYes. A free account gets content built from local real-estate news, posted for you on one network of Facebook, LinkedIn or X — not Instagram. Brokerages that join the Partner Program get every agent a free account: “$0 Cost to agents and your team”. Capterra’s listing, by contrast, records no free version and no free trial.2,3,7No free tier. Plans start at $79 a month.
FormatsHyper-local market videos, open-house and sold-listing videos, testimonial videos, a personal intro, news-to-video, plus a weekly newsletter, landing pages, a lite CRM and, higher up, ads and lead guarantees.1,2Five: market update, new listing, just sold, open house, educational. Starter covers market update and educational; Plus and Pro carry all five. 8 reels a month, 12 reels a month, 20 reels a month.
PostingIt posts for you. “Daily Auto-Post” to Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Stories & Reels, TikTok and YouTube on the entry plan, with Google Business, WhatsApp and X added higher up. Brokerages can push content to all their agents’ connected accounts.1,6You post. Nothing is published on your behalf, on any network — you get the finished reel and its caption and put it up yourself.
Editing the scriptThe pages we checked don’t describe editing the script of a ready-made video.4At text level: edit any script on the website, or text the change you want — a shorter caption, a new price, a different opening. Up to 10 edits per reel, and approving is what starts the render.
Who it suitsAgents who want a lot of content going out across many networks without touching it, and brokerages that want to hand every agent a free marketing tool.1,3,6Agents who want a few reels a week they would put their own name on — their voice, their metro, sourced numbers — and who are content to post those themselves.

One caveat on size, since it gets quoted a lot: Roomvu’s own pages disagree with each other. Their pricing page says “Over 440,234 REALTORS®”1, their about page says more than 100,000 agents across Canada and the US5, and a counter on their partner-program page cites 884 agents3. Their Capterra listing shows 2.1 out of 5 from 18 reviews7. All checked 10 September 2026.

Honestly

Which one you should pick

Choose Roomvu if…

  • You want something posted every day, on several networks, without opening an app.
  • You want it free, or your brokerage joined their Partner Program and it costs you nothing.
  • You want listing videos to appear on their own from MLS data as soon as a listing goes live.
  • You want marketing beyond video in one bill: a newsletter, landing pages, a CRM, ads, lead follow-up.

Choose Paper Route if…

  • You want a content employee, not another dashboard: something that brings the ideas and the weekly drop, and handles changes by text, like a colleague.
  • You want every reel written and generated from scratch, never from a template — two agents in the same city get different reels.
  • You want to be in your own reels: your headshot and logo, your own cloned voice, and generated scenes of you, such as the podcast segment.
  • You want the script written around your metro’s actual numbers, with every claim traceable to a source.
  • You are fine posting the reels yourself, and you would rather nothing was published in your name automatically.

They are not the same job. If what you need is presence everywhere with no involvement, the honest answer is that Roomvu does that and we don’t. Weighing other options? Seven Roomvu alternatives, priced.
